This is a book directed to lay persons in Louisiana who want to know
more about the laws that affect them in their lifetime planning and in their
estate planning. The best estate plan is a lifetime plan that takes into
account all of the aspects of a good life while the person is alive and then
a good plan of distribution at the end of life.
The book is 273 pages in length and covers many of Louisiana's laws
that affect a person during lifetime, discussions about the need or lack
thereof for a will, what a will consists of, understanding the administration
of a succession after death, social security retirement benefits and some other
comments appropriate to lifetime planning. In addition, the impact of Federal
Estate Taxes and Federal Gift Taxes are discussed. A listing of the chapter
